Paul's Story
Tennis Coach, Author, and Journalist
Paul Fein, a tennis journalist for 45 years, has done major interviews with nearly all the great players and many leading tennis coaches, administrators and authorities. He has covered Wimbledon, the U.S. Open, the Davis and Fed Cups, and various other pro tournaments, as well as the Champions Tour, and international junior events, such as the Orange Bowl.
He has received more than 40 writing awards, and his articles have appeared in tennis and sports magazines around the world. He ranked a career-high No. 7 in singles and No. 4 in doubles in New England men's open competition, and more recently ranked No. 5 nationally in Super Senior singles competition. He is also a USPTA teaching pro with an Elite rating.
Paul's Background
Paul's diverse tennis background includes being founder/director of the Springfield (Massachusetts) Satellite Tournament—which was commended in a World Tennis magazine editorial, a top-10 singles and top-5 doubles ranked men's open tournament player in New England, a starting varsity tennis player at Cornell University under renowned coach Eddie Moylan, a commentator for Continental Cablevision, president of the Springfield Tennis Club and Springfield Tennis Council, a USPTA teaching pro with an Elite rating, NELTA tournament consultant, college tennis referee, and NEPTA ranking committee chairperson.
